I live in the beautiful Tennessee hills with my husband and four kids, where chaos, creativity, and curiosity are part of the daily routine and where silence is suspicious. I’ve loved stories for as long as I can remember. Writing was my forever thing. Unshakeable.

...or so I thought.

In 2023, everything we owned vanished overnight in a devastating house fire. We were incredibly lucky. Everyone we loved made it out safely, but the house was reduced to bricks. Along with it went ten years of work: six books, four novellas, and a lifetime of drafts. Yes, I trust Microsoft 365 a lot more now (wish I did then). Writing, and my dreams of being published, quietly disappeared with the smoke.

Then, more than two years later, I found myself huddled around a campfire with ten eleven-year-old boys for my son’s D&D-themed birthday party. The night was magical, right up until 3 a.m., when a herd of deer terrorized these brave adventurers.

A few weeks later, before the Halloween of 2025, something clicked. I put my fingers back on the keyboard, nervous and rusty, writing in a genre and age group I had never tried before. And the story poured out. I wrote with a few simple goals: to bottle the magic of childhood and friendship, to write the kind of book my boys would love reading, and to fall back in love with storytelling myself.

Now, here we are.
